About Alex

Alex Diaz is an associate at Sacco & Fillas, LLP who practices in our Personal Injury Group, representing injured clients in motor vehicle accidents, premises cases involving slip/trip and fall, with a lesser concentration of labor law accidents and medical malpractice. Alex Diaz joined Sacco & Fillas LLP in October of 2019 as a paralegal in the Personal Injury Department. Prior to becoming an attorney Alex worked 15 years as a paralegal focusing primarily on plaintiffs' personal injury. As a senior paralegal he assisted the various Personal Injury Teams. Alex commenced his studies at the School of Paralegal Studies where he finished in the 98th percentile. In 2008 he went on to obtain an Associate in Applied Science in Legal Assistance from New York City College of Technology, followed by a Bachelor of Science, also in the field of Legal Assistance in 2009. After a three-year hiatus from school Alex while working full-time returned to school and attended New York Law School where he obtained his Juris Doctorate. While attending New York Law School Alex assisted both the Family Law Clinic and Immigration Clinic seeking and obtaining Asylum for several asylum seekers. Alex is known for his empathy and strong advocacy for those who were injured because of the negligence of others.
