Overview
Geoffrey Kalender is an associate at SACCO & FILLAS, LLP who practices in the Employment Group. He primarily represents clients bringing employment law claims including worker discrimination/harassment and violations of wage laws.
Geoffrey has argued individual federal and state discrimination/harassment claims to jury verdict and on appeal at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also represented large classes in wage claims, having litigated actions resulting in settlements of $6.25 million and $4 million dollars, among other six and seven figure awards. He was selected to the Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Stars list in 2023 and 2024.
Geoffrey is a tenacious advocate who begins every case by taking time to understand the exact contours of his client’s situation, never forcing a case into a preconceived direction. He considers the right of workers to be free from discrimination to be a core civil right, of equal importance to any other guarantees made to Americans. Through empathic listening and responsiveness, Geoffrey empowers his clients to take an active role in their litigation strategy and tailors settlements to reflect a client’s personal concerns. He understands the obstacles employees face and his utmost goal is to secure a fair and meaningful resolution for his clients–financially and otherwise.
